Cross Stitch

Although I occasionally make my own cross stitch patterns, most of my cross stitch projects come from kits that have been gifted to me, or ones that I found at a second-hand store for extremely cheap.

Many of the patterns I pick up second-hand aren't really my style, and I stitch them simply because they are affordable. If I did want to stitch something to hang on my wall, I would probably choose a pattern from one of the lovely creators listed below.

Sewing

I initially got into sewing so I could make my own costumes and cosplay. Back in the days before you could custom order any kind of strange anime outfit you wanted, DIY was really the only option.

These days I mostly sew to mend or alter clothing that I already own. Sewing tends to be a frustrating skill for me to learn, so it's been a slow process, but being able to create and customize my own wardrobe is a tempting enough goal to keep me trying.

Crochet

I first learned how to crochet as a teen, but I didn't really make much of anything until more recently. There's just something about the mountain of yarn in my craft room that drives me absolutely nuts. I'm not even sure where all of it came from, and if there's any free craft supply that I regret accepting, the piles and piles of yarn just might be it.

So now the challenge is, what to do with it? Lucky for me, there's an abundance of free crochet patterns online. Whenever I feel like getting through another skein or two of yarn, I just browse and pick any pattern that catches my interest.

Art

I don't draw as often as I would like to, and although I never seem to have the patience to really develop it as a solid skill, it's another one of those hobbies that I just can't stay away from.

I personally prefer to draw using traditional mediums because, well, pencils are a lot cheaper than computer parts. Recently though, I've been trying my hand at pixel art. Paint.net is my program of choice for making pixel art, and it's free! Photopea is basically Photoshop, re-created for free online, and Online Image Editor is good for quick edits and fun effects.

Welcome!

I have too many hobbies and not enough time. This page is here to help me document my crafting progress and collect helpful online resources.

I've been fiddling with this page for quite a while, and felt like I should just go ahead and publish it even though it's not finished. I might just leave it for now and move on because I have several pages I want to get up before the end of the month.

For the photo gallery below, I haven't decided on how to host the photos, so if you have a suggestion let me know!
